GUIDELINES
How to Participate & Info:
+ If you are using Twitter, please make sure to follow the fest account so we can DM you without any issues!+ Share your prompts with us via prompting forms. Go crazy with it!+ Prompts containing themes of pedophilia/grooming minors etc. are not allowed and will be removed by the mods.+ AI prompts/prompts written by AI are not allowed and will be removed by the mods.+ For self-prompting: you do not have to enter your own prompt in the prompting form. You will be able to claim/self-prompt during claims.+ Claim the prompt you like to join the fest as a creator via claiming forms.+ Submit your work according to the guidelines within the submission period.+ "Light prompts" are for SFW works that do not meet the criteria for a “Dark prompt”.+ "Dark prompts" include adult or sexual content, anything potentially triggering, involving darker themes (MCD, violence, etc.).+ To make the event run smoothly, we kindly ask you to reply to the messages from our mods!+ If you have any questions or if you feel unsafe, please contact the mods through DMs or Mail ([email protected]). Always be kind and courteous. We’re here to make sure everyone is comfortable and enjoying the fest!+ The fest operates on Korean Standard Time (KST).
Rules:
HOW TO CLAIM:+ In the form, choose the option you would like to proceed as (Writer/Artist).+ After roaming through the archive, fill out the claiming form and write down the prompt code of your top 3 choices, from most desired to least.+ Claims are distributed by first-come, first-serve logic.+ You cannot claim two fic prompts simultaneously, similarly you cannot claim two art prompts simultaneously.+ You cannot claim the prompt medium that is already claimed by someone.+ When you claim a fic prompt, you will also be given the option to claim art for the same prompt simultaneously (if it’s unclaimed). The same stands for claiming a prompt for art (if you claim an art prompt, you can simultaneously claim it for a fic (if it’s not already taken). However, it is not permitted to claim an unrelated prompt. Example:

> X prompt fic + Y prompt art ✖+ Your preferred medium is going to be prioritized while claims are being distributed.+ If a prompt has been claimed for either art or fic, you are allowed to claim the unclaimed medium. Example:
> X prompt fic (claimed by someone else) + X prompt art (still unclaimed) ✔ claiming for art is allowed.
> X prompt fic (still unclaimed) + X prompt art (claimed by someone else) ✔ claiming for fic is allowed.+ After submitting your finished work, you are allowed to claim your next prompt until the claiming period's end.+ If you would like to do any changes, please contact the mods to see what can be done.FOR WRITERS:+ Please respect your prompter and their terms. If you disagree with some of their do's/don’ts, please consider taking a different prompt. If you have any questions feel free to contact the mods via DMs or email. (If you cannot DM us, you can tag us to notify us so we get back to you.)+ All fics should be centered around the main pair of Bang Chan & Lee Know (platonic or romantic). The inclusion of side ships is allowed.+ Chaptered fics are allowed.+ No word limit, however for submission there will be a minimum requirement of 2,000 words (if you are doing chapters then the first submitted bit needs to be 2k minimum. (1 chapter with over 2k words or multiple chapters combined with over 2k words).+ NSFW (18+) works are allowed. Darker themes are allowed, but they MUST be tagged appropriately and further warnings in the notes are recommended!+ Authors are not allowed to use any kind of explicit content involving minors or themes of pedophilia/grooming in their fics. If they do, the fics will be removed by the mods and the participant will be disqualified and banned indefinitely from the fest.+ AI usage is not allowed.+ There will only one check-in throughout the fest, from September 1st to September 7th. It has questions on the preferred aesthetic for the reveals and mandatory word count of 1,000 (one thousand) words.+ To submit, please submit your work to the provided fest AO3 collection (minchanfest_viii), where it will stay hidden and anonymous until the reveals.+ If you need an extension, please contact the mods to discuss what can be done.+ Reveals are going to be made from the fest account by the mods in its scheduled date/hour.+ Never publicly reveal your prompts and works! Should be anonymous until reveals.FOR ARTISTS:+ Please respect your prompter and their terms. If you disagree with some of their do's/don’ts, please consider taking a different prompt. If you have any questions feel free to contact the mods via DMs or email. (If you cannot DM us, you can tag us to notify us so we get back to you.)+ All art should be centered around the main pair of Bang Chan & Lee Know (platonic or romantic). The inclusion of side ships is allowed.+ NSFW (18+) works are allowed, but they should be censored/flagged appropriately on Twitter.+ Artists are not allowed to use any kind of explicit content involving minors or themes of pedophilia/grooming in their artwork. If they do, they will be disqualified and banned indefinitely from the fest.+ AI art is not allowed.+ There will be one check. (from September 1st to September 7th) to see if you are still planning on participating and can meet the deadline.+ To submit, please fill out the artists' submission form. It will be linked on the links tab or the carrd. You can submit your work anytime during the creation period. This is only for the mods to see if it’s not breaking any rules and for you to be able to claim a different prompt later.+ If you need an extension, please contact the mods to discuss what can be done.+ Reveals are to be made by the participant themselves on their personal account tagging the official fest account, during the scheduled date and hour, and to be retweeted and quoted by the mods of the fest account.+ If you do not use Twitter, please contact us so we can find an alternative way to reveal your art.+ Never publicly reveal your prompts! Should be anonymous until reveals.
